Our Barbering Program
Barbering is so much more than just hair. Because of the unique environment and culture of this program, our students get to dive deep into more advanced and intricate details for a variety of shorter hairstyles. Unlike cosmetology, our barbering students get to dive deeper into intricate shaves and fades or creating the perfect facial hair design.
Like our other programs, students can expect to learn through a variety of learning styles, first with lectures and demonstrations, then actually practicing what they are learning. In fact, with our barbering facilities, students can provide services to actual clients under the supervision of licensed professionals. We want to create an environment that helps our students thrive and grow to be qualified for their future career, whether they want to work in a shop or start their own barber shop in the future.
There may be other opportunities for students, including field trips and guest speakers, as we want our students to learn the latest techniques, based on current trends and styles. This 1,500 hour program may take longer than other programs, but it’s a great choice if you want to learn more advanced techniques with hairstyles and haircuts.

Payment Options for Barbering School
The cost of barbering school shouldn’t hold you back from taking the steps to enroll. At Celebrity Stylist Beauty Academy, financial aid is available to those who qualify. You can pay for your education through federal grants and loans. Plus, there may be scholarships available to help pay for school, which don’t need to be paid back.

Admissions Requirements
- Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology application form
- Two copies of high school diplomas or GEDs
- Two copies of your birth certificate or valid driver’s license
- Three personal photographs – wallet sized
